Day for Caroline are a five-piece Alternative folk rock band hailing from Adelaide, South Australia. Formed in the basements of Adelaide University, Jack Willsmore, William Joyner, Solomon Young and Jack Barton began playing and writing together during their first year of studies. Early in 2024, they expanded their lineup to include Lily Appelt which in turn meant that the group could include keyboard as part of their sound. Treading paths laid by influential Rock and Folk names such as Wilco, Jim O’Rourke and Big Thief, the band’s sound combines folk melodies with hearty rock grooves and abstract storytelling.
