After two eps released in quick succession a few years ago, Sagamore have taken a couple of years pursuing inspiration across continents and recording their musical vision in the hills of Aireys Inlet. They're soon to return with a new single (due August 11th), and their debut magnum opus - Charlemont Reef - due for release later this year via Dusky Tracks.

Save for an annual summer show at the Wye River Pub, Sagamore have withheld from live shows while working on the record. That's all about to change with the release of their new single 'Pearl Of The Sky' next week, and the upcoming launch at The Grace Darling Hotel in Collingwood. With a bag of new songs and a yearning to share them with Melbourne audiences, the release of Pearl of the Sky and Charlemont Reef is shaping up to be an exciting milestone in the musical journey of Sagamore.

They'll be joined by Girlatones and Skivvy

His latest album, That Low and Lonesome Sound, evokes subtle images of a younger darker Springsteen with the moments of lush beautiful instrumentation from the likes of Bon Iver and The War on Drugs. Californian indie pop legend, Colleen Green is playing a special one off headline show in Melbourne at Grace Darling Hotel!

Armed with nothing more than a guitar and a drum machine, Colleen Green's gritty, sweet, irrepressibly fun tunes are at the vanguard of California's slacker-pop scene. Wearing her punk-rock influences on her sleeve with nods to both Descendents and The Ramones. Signing to Seattle's Sub Pop offshoot Hardly Art (Chastity Belt, Hunx & His Punx), Colleen continued to mine baked bedroom pop and boy-trouble ruminations before travelling to Nashville to work with producer Jake Orrall (JEFF The Brotherhood) for 2015's impossibly cool "I Want To Grow Up".

Spin vibed it was full of "crunchy Clinton-era sonics associated with apathy and irony, reappropriated here for confessions so direct that she might as well be singing from a kneeler."

WHARVES, an indie quartet from the tiny NSW coastal village of Lennox Head were one of the breakout acts from this year’s Splendour in the Grass Festival, having been awarded their spot on the line-up by triple j Unearthed.

The band opened the Festival and stunned the early crowd with their immaculate and powerful live set which included their latest single “Man You Want Me to Be” which has received regular play on triple j. Produced by Steven Schram the song has legitimised the claim that WHARVES are one of the hottest new indie bands in the nation.

WHARVES formed whilst at Uni in Lismore and Byron. A favourite of triple j Unearthed they have been compared to Foals and The Strokes and their intricate post punk sound is powerful and moody. Since then, their reputation on stage has grown quickly and landed them supports with some of Australia’s best indie acts including Rolling Blackouts CF, The Delta Riggs, Good Boy, Polish Club, The Pretty Littles and Kiko Smokes.

WHARVES will soon be releasing a new single they recently recorded with Schram at the legendary Rocking Horse Studios near Byron Bay. A tour of Tasmania and the East Coast will follow including a spot at the coveted Bigsound Festival in September.
